Variant B, final build. Seeded dev mail: the Jev tags plus the user tag Steuererklärung 2026.

Labels ride the sender line on the count-pill fill. Two show from 520 px and one below, then +N. At 390 px the long German label ellipsizes at 98 px, and the sender name and subject keep their full width. Row heights stay 72 and 64 px.

The action plate covers the end of the sender line. On a row with a plate, the labels hide while the plate shows, like the time column does. At rest they stay (opacity 1 at rest, 0 on hover at 390 px; 1 on hover at 1440 px).

Reader

Each tag is one chip with two 44 by 44 px hits: the name runs the tag search, the cross removes the tag. The cross has the name "Remove tag Travel".

Remove, then Z

The chip leaves at once. The toast says "Tag removed", with Undo and Z. Focus moves to the cross of the next tag. Z puts the tag back.

A click on Travel opens the Imbox search tag:Travel, over every folder but Spam and Trash.
